Rhonda Stuart is an attorney with almost 20 years of experience encompassing several practice areas.
Real Estate – She has experience in both commercial and residential real estate matters, including closings and litigation. She is a title agent for several title companies, and has worked as a foreclosure attorney for banks, so she knows real estate from both sides. She has also represented both banks and sellers in REO sales and short sales. She has also represented banks in bankruptcy matters involving foreclosed homes.
Family Law – From a simple uncontested divorce to a high-net worth divorce. Rhonda Stuart draws on his years of experience and creative thinking to get positive results from clients. She also has experience with visitation, child support, establishing paternity, obtaining or defending a civil order of protection
Employment Law – She has extensive experience practicing before various administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR), the Illinois Department of Labor (IDL) and the Illinois Department of Economic Security (IDES). She has represented both individuals and employers in employment related matters, including discrimination based on age, race, religion or sexual orientation, sexual harassment, or based on a disability under the ADA.
Small Business Solutions – She has pioneered the idea of the “mobile general counsel.” Recognizing that many small businesses need a wide range of legal services but may not have the resource or volume to support a full time in-house attorney, Rhonda Stuart assists corporate clients in a number of areas including human resources assessment and auditing, employee related issues, collections, and management of claims. She will work on site or remotely to tailor her services specifically to the client’s needs.
Foreclosures – She has represented banks in foreclosures and is familiar with the issues that arise for the average homeowner attempting to navigate the foreclosure maze. She has a pragmatic approach to foreclosure defense that maximizes the best outcome for her clients.
Ms. Stuart is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Illinois College of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Grinnell College.
Ms. Stuart volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in DuPage County. She is also on the Board of Directors for PCC Community Wellness Center.
